Wayland and Allison have been married for 25 years. Wayland has been involved in some form of custom canvas work for over 40 years. As a managing partner of his family business, Nashville Tent and Awning, he was in charge of custom and miscellaneous canvas, ranging from boat covers to huge industrial jobs and everything in between. In 2011 he sold out and opened Arnold Marine Canvas and Upholstery on Center Hill Lake, where he and Allison had enjoyed boating and water skiing for most of their marriage. In this venture he was able to combine his dedication to perfection in his craft and his lifelong love of boating – a perfect union!
While most of Allison’s life was spent in tv and radio media ad sales, her love of working with people and color design has allowed her to work with many customers to help them put together the perfect color schemes and patterns to fulfill their vision of exterior boat canvas, interior window treatments for houseboats, outdoor furniture upholstery and interior boat upholstery, including the new woven vinyl products.
